4月28日 16時30分から英語講座を開催いたしました。
米アリゾナ州の大学を卒業され、このたび Temple 大学MBA日本校に入学するTMさんのご協力を得て、自己紹介の練習をしました。自分の仕事を説明する場合に会社名や役職だけでなく具体的に何をやってどのような成果を上げたかも加えると自分をアピールできることをTMさんからアドバイスいただきました。

Hello,Shinichiro Sato is my name.
It's called shinichiro or shinchan, from the friends.
I came from Fukui, at north 80 mile of Kyoto.
Eiheizi and Echizensoba is famous from being close to Kyoto.
I like going to see the airial shows of Japanese every place, the Air Self Defense Force.
Because it is impressed, the devised event and a frntic menber' figure.
Although the country in Japan is 1/25 U.S. , proud of the culture which values relation of people more.

My name is Sshinichiro.S.
My friends call me Shinichiro.
I come from Fukui, 80 miles north of Kyoto.
Fukui is famous for Eiheiji, an beautifle old temple, and Echizensoba, a kind of Japanese noodle which tastes good.
I like to go to see the Airforce shows by the Air Self Denfense Forces. I have visited many places around Japan to see many of the shows, because I have been always impressed to find that the every Airforce show is very well desinged and all the staff engaged are fully commited to the success for the show.
Japan is a small country; its area is only 1/25th (one twenty-fifth) of that of USA.
However, I am proud of Japanese culture which put more value in the human relations among people.
解説
1． 自己紹介の際、My name is ..... I am ...... とはいいます。
○○ is my name. とはあまり言いません。 日本人の名前は、外国人には聞き覚えがないので
ゆっくり発音しましょう。外国人のコミュニケ―ションで名前を覚えるのは基本ですので、
聞こえないような早口もしくは小さな声で名前をいうと、それを聞き取ろうと努力している相手
にストレスを与えます。
2．友人がどう呼んでいるか紹介する際 My friends call me ○○ という表現があります
よりくだけた表現で、I go by ○○。という表現があります。
3. I came from とはいいません。I come from と現在形で表現します。
出身地で今は住んでいないことを明確に表現する場合は、ラジオ英会話4月号にあった
I am originally from ○○. が使えます。
4. Eiheiji, Echizensoba とは 外国人には何の名前がまったくわからないこともあるので、
temple, noodle を入れました。

最初が意味がよくわからなかったのですが、ご本人に確認したところ、
「工夫された催し物と隊員の一生懸命な姿に感動するから。」という意味だそうです。
because I have been always impressed to find that the every Airforce show is

と表現してみました。

6. 2分の3という表現は、two thridsといいます。 25分の1は one twenth-fifth といいます。
